Strengthening Families: Parental Resilience

This training will go in depth about building parental resilience, which is one of the 6 protective factors of the Strengthening Families model. Strengthening Families is a strength-based approach that guides us in working to support the development of the family and child. Resilience is an attribute that helps us manage stressful situations. When families are resilient, it can help ensure that they are on a trajectory of healthy, positive outcomes. When educators understand the effects of stress on a family unit, they will be able to understand how to support children and families for optimal outcomes.
