Strengthening Families-Social Connections

Social Connections will help you explore the value of how friends, family members, neighbors, and community members provide emotional support for young, growing families. These social connections help families solve problems, offer parenting advice, and give concrete assistance to parents. Discover ways in which you and your staff can tap into the social network of families within your care. Networks of support are essential to parents, and are one of the six Kentucky Protective Factors. These lifelong connections help Kentucky families thrive. By the end of the session, you will have three to five new strategies for strengthening your family’s social connections.
