Joys of Teaching Community of Practice Session 4: Partnering with Families by using Strengthening Families Approach!

Families are the expert on their child! Join our monthly, Joys of Teaching Community of Practice to discuss how we can strengthen our partnerships with families by using the KY Strengthening Families Framework. The more you know and understand about the environment, culture, and everyday experiences of the children and families, the easier it will be to build genuine connections with families and work together to support their children. By the end of the session, you will become aware of the Strengthening Families framework including the six KY protective factors and learn how to create environments that are inclusive of families and their culture.

The Joys of Teaching Community of Practice will meet monthly on the fourth Thursday from 4:30-6:30 pm EST through June 2022. The cost is free. Each COP is approved for 2 hours of ECE-TRIS credit.

COPs in 2022 are being planned as virtual events with the potential for in person opportunities in the future.
