Emotional Literacy in Young Children

The purpose of this eCourse is to provide early childhood professionals with knowledge on child growth and development from 18 months to 36 months of age. In addition to gaining knowledge in child development, the providers will access resources and tools to support families. Lastly, the course will provide information on what to look for when developmental delays are occurring and how to talk with families about concerns. The participants will learn about developmental milestones and developmental appropriate expectations for children between the age 18 months to 36 months by watching videos, reading handouts and engaging in classroom observations.

This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
