In this interactive training, participants will explore the essential role families play in supporting young children’s development and learning. Through discussion, reflection, and practical activities, participants will learn how to build authentic relationships with families, recognize and overcome common barriers to engagement, and adopt a strengths-based approach to collaboration. The training will emphasize the importance of cultural responsiveness, shared decision-making, and ongoing communication strategies that foster meaningful partnerships with families. Participants will leave with tools and ideas they can immediately apply to create inclusive, welcoming environments where families feel empowered, respected, and involved.
This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
