This eCourse introduces participants to the topic of mental health in early childhood. Participants will learn how mental health influences development across all domains and explore the various factors that contribute to a child’s mental well-being. The course emphasizes the importance of environments—physical, social, and temporal—in shaping a child’s mental health.
Throughout the training, participants will engage in reflective activities to assess and adapt their environments to better support the mental health needs of the children in their care. By the end of the course, participants will have a deeper understanding of the connection between mental health and early childhood development, as well as practical strategies for creating supportive environments that foster mental well-being.
This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
