Outdoor Play

Children’s play outside is often limited to constricted time periods and seen as a way for children to burn off excess energy. This module will introduce teachers to think about using nature to boost the development of children. When play is coupled with nature, children are able to gain skills in several developmental domains while understanding how their natural environment can provide for them today and for tomorrow.

This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
