Promoting Father Engagement for Infants and Toddlers (2 credit hours)
$25.00
(2 credit hour)
Level 1 CDA 4 CC 6 Audience – All
Join us in this eCourse as we learn how the relationship between the father and child begins in infancy. This relationship is integral to the overall development of the child. Research shows that when fathers are involved in daily activities with a child such as feeding, bathing, and playing together, a child tends to be more confident as they grow and they tend to enjoy stronger social connections. The benefits of a secure fatherly attachment last into adulthood. In this training participants will learn why father engagement matters to infants and toddlers. Participants will also learn strategies for father engagement as well as brainstorm and create their own father engagement activity.
This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
