This eCourse introduces participants to the topic of  Strengthening Business Practices for Family Child Care Providers addresses basic concepts in family childcare programs’ fiscal and operational management. This training is grounded in the belief that strong and sustainable childcare businesses can support program initiatives to improve children’s outcomes. In this module, we will discuss financial reports and identify ways to help you better manage your program’s finances. We will also identify what internal controls are in a childcare setting and how they can strengthen the fiscal health of your program.

This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
