This eCourse introduces participants to the topic of Strengthening Business Practices, addressing basic concepts in family child care programs’ fiscal and operational management. This training is grounded in the belief that strong and sustainable child care businesses can support program initiatives to improve children’s outcomes. This module will focus on budgeting, planning, and projections specifically for child care businesses. Learn the value of developing a budget and how to use it for decision-making throughout the year. We will discuss how to project business costs and how to plan strategically for future goals.

This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
