A smooth day in an early childhood classroom doesn’t happen by accident, it is thoughtfully designed. In this e-course, educators will explore how consistent schedules, predictable routines, and well-planned transitions can create a more calm, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children. Participants will examine how children experience the flow of the day and consider what makes certain parts of the day feel easy or challenging. Through practical strategies, reflection, and activities, educators will learn how to make transitions more predictable, reduce unnecessary waiting time, support children’s independence and self-regulation, and create more opportunities for meaningful learning throughout the day.

This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
