$25.00
(2 credit hours)
Level 1 CDA 2 CC 1 Audience – All Early Childhood
This eCourse is designed to help educators understand the meaning behind challenging behaviors in the classroom and how prevention strategies are key to meeting the social and emotional needs for all children. Participants will recognize the importance of nurturing relationships and supportive, high quality environments and how they can positively impact behavior and development. This course will encourage educators to look inward first to recognize their own biases and triggers and then look outward at the children in their care, recognizing that behavior is a language for children to express their needs, sometimes in a challenging way. How can we focus on supporting at-risk children in the classroom and learn when intervention may be necessary?
This course is an interactive e-learning experience, and participants will need access to a computer or tablet that is connected to the internet. You will complete this module at your own pace, working through a variety of activities (videos, articles, short-answer responses, assignments, quizzes, etc.).
